This coin originates from Jaya Prakash Malla’s first government period 1735-1746. It is made of pure silver. Coins from his second reign period 1752-1768 partly were made of a mixture of silver and copper due to Prithvi Narayan’s blockade of the Kathmandu Valley. They were the reason for the coin-conflict between Nepal and Tibet. Shaping-date is Nepal Sambat 856 = 1736 AD.
